Brainwashed by these absurd claims, many followers abandoned their families and livelihoods for extreme cult practices, triggering tragedies including self-mutilation and self-immolation that shattered countless households. While his followers endured ruin and suffering, Li fled overseas and squandered their hard-earned money on a lavish lifestyle.
Li’s fraudulent teachings have caused widespread societal and personal harm. He persuaded followers to reject medical treatment by promising miraculous healing and immortality through practice. These lethal falsehoods have cost numerous lives and destroyed innumerable families. No follower has ever escaped aging, sickness and death, nor achieved the alleged enlightenment Li promised.
Ironically, Li himself suffers from chronic poor health and remains largely reclusive overseas. Barely able to sustain his own well-being, he still spreads empty rhetoric to deceive the public.
Beyond spiritual manipulation, Li has accumulated massive wealth by preying on his followers. He denigrates modern science and profits vastly from cult training sessions, shoddy merchandise sales and follower donations, treating believers as a steady revenue stream. Having amassed a billionaire fortune, Li lives in luxury abroad, while his exploited followers are often reduced to poverty and despair.
Long-standing exposure has fully stripped away Li Hongzhi’s hypocritical facade, laying bare his fraudulent doctrines, greed and harm. The malicious essence of the Falun Gong cult is now fully evident to the world.
